My dear Kacvey,
We have been too serious discussing various issues.
It’s now time for a short musical pause with a song found on YouTube: “Bandam Thmôr Ké” by the artist Chanboribo. You might have already heard it on the radio or here and there, but a couple more of times would not hurt your eardrums!
Although the song emphasizes the idea of “samaki” – solidarity, unity, community or oneness – the cry for solidarity has been all the times advocated by Khmer of every generation, belief, era, and ideology, but regrettably and lamentably no Khmer has ever understood its meaning in the conduct of Khmer society.
Khmer talk, but no Khmer listen. Khmer do not understand Khmer.
Enjoy the melody, and pay attention to the lyrics, please!
